Emily from Ninelands Primary
This book was funny but also a great way to teach children not to take advantage if they look old for their age as they can get in to trouble (and may even get invited to a theme park in china and end up in space, having water fights on the moon!!!). If this book was a sweet I would say it was popping candy as things POP up out of nowhere!
Emily gave Cosmic 4 out of 5.
Safiyah from Talbot Primary School
I like this book and I think it's very good for children as well as adults. It shows a young boy's life that goes up and down. The author Frank Boyce is very good and I will probably read the rest of his books.

Shauna from Sharp Lane Primary
i loved the book i thought it was fantastic and i thought the story line was brill so i gave it a 5 out of 5 just because it was amasing on the part where liam prtends to be an adult and florida is prtending to be his daughter because he was realy tall and shrinks at the end
Shauna gave Cosmic 5 out of 5 and now plans to read A Nest of Vipers.
Louise from Nineland Primary School
I found that Cosmic was a really good book once you got into it, it was just the getting into it that took a while, once I got into it I read it all in one go! Cosmic has quite a lot of adventure in it, and when things go wrong Liam doesn't really know what to do! I thought that there were a lot of really tense moments. Cosmic has a bit too much going on for my taste, one minute one thing's happening, the next it's something totally different!
Louise gave Cosmic 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.
Annie from Ninelands Primary
I enjoyed the book but some parts i started to get bored of.So i never got to the end
Annie gave Cosmic 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Laura from Ninelands Primary
I really liked this book because, it was interesting and was not like any normal book I have ever read in my life!
I think the idea of the whole thing was ingenius and there could never be another COSMIC to follow it... it was that good!
I think the auther could have made it a little more exciting and the bit where they get lost in space could be a little bit more panik so it was more thrilling to read.. all in all though I think the book was very good and needs very little improvement!WELL DONE!
Laura gave Cosmic 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.
Robert from Ninelands Primary School

Rianne from Boston Spa School
I think that this book is a very memorable and funny, and overall it had a good plot which wasn't very realistic- but who wants books to be realistic? I really enjoyed this book, as the style of writing was very easy to get into, so it didn't take all that long to read. I like Frank Cotterell Boyce's way of writing, and his other books, framed and millions. overall, this book was an enjoyable read.
Rianne gave Cosmic 4 out of 5.
Georgia from Alwoodley Primary School
Now this is a good book, possibly the best one that I have read so far. A really good part is when everyone is playing hide and seek on the rocket and Hasan goes missing which means Liam has to go outside into space but it turns out Hasan is asleep. I thought this book was great.
Georgia gave Cosmic 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The London Eye Mystery.
Gheorghe from Boston Spa School
I read this book befreo it was shortlisted for the leeds book awards, when it came out in 2008, but nonetheless, it is a brilliant book. It is very imaginative, well described, and well written.
Gheorghe gave Cosmic 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.
Abid from Allerton High School
This book is very funny coz it starts with "mum i am not at the lakeside i am in space" and i think that this book will get a lot of votes.
Abid gave Cosmic 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Robbie from Alwoodley Primary School
The plot of the story is great I think it is humorous and the main character is very daring pretending to be an adult and pretending his friend is his daughter my definite favorite along side diary of a wimpy kid.
Robbie gave Cosmic 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The London Eye Mystery.
Zahra from Alwoodley Primary School
WOW! I loved this book a lot 99.9%.My favourite part which is extremely funny was when everybody but Liam started to wee in their space suits while eating space food. I would definitely read Frank's other books especially Millions and recommend this book to anyone, anyone thats how good it is. There is one thing that I disliked about this book and that is having butterflies in my stomach because I was sacred that he'd would get found out for disguising as an adult because he is extremely tall.
Zahra gave Cosmic 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.
Remmy from Boston Spa School
This book was alright, but not very memorable. It was amusing in parts but other parts not much happened and I just skimmed through. It took hardly any time to read.
Remmy gave Cosmic 3 out of 5.
Andrew from Ninelands Primary
It was all right, but not brilliant
Andrew gave Cosmic 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Council of Evil.
Stephen from Ninelands Primary School
It didn't keep you reading on and was basicly... rubbish! (No offence to the auther)
Stephen gave Cosmic 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Council of Evil.
Sarah from Ninelands Primary School
I didnt finish the book because I couldnt get along with it all my friends that have read it have said that once they get on the rocket it becomes interesting but I just found that up until that point it was BORING. For me it just wasnt my taste. For me it should have been more acton packed the whole way through and shorter sentencs.
Sarah gave Cosmic 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Jessica Lea from Parklands Girls High
I really enjoyed this book because I love the idea of growing so big you can see
space. I think this book has a wide range of things to interest different people. Some of the book wasn't realistic, as no-one can grow so big to see space. The author makes it feel as if you can see what is happening right in front of you.
Jessica Lea gave Cosmic 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Charlotte from Boston Spa School
Cosmic is really enjoyable, in my opinion, and I love the whole idea of going to the moon. I don't think that this book really needs anything else added to it to make it a better plot, like some others I've read, because it gives the reader a real sense of been in the story.
I think it a brilliant fantasy but somehow lacks a sense of true realism. Over all fabulous!
Charlotte gave Cosmic 4 out of 5 and now plans to read A Nest of Vipers.
Darren from Boston Spa School
Cosmic was a mostly interesting book with lots of humour and excitement, the things I didn't like hopwever was the complete unrealism of the situation. Admittedly, it was not a book to be entirely realistic but I would still have preferred it if it did have more realism. The idea was brilliant and the story was very good but I personnally don't like Frank Cottrell Boyce's style of writing and I've read Framed and Millions, this is undoubtably the best of his in my opinion.
Darren gave Cosmic 3 out of 5.
Billy from Sharp Lane Primary School
A fantastic book that has comedy and adventurous things that make you want to laugh!
The main character is a boy called Liam digby who is too big to be a kid and too small to be an adult!
Billy gave Cosmic 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.
Abigail from Sharp Lane Primary School
It was really interesting and i like it because instead of saying he, frank wrote I.
i'd like to be a famous Writer like him.
i like the front cover for the book i also love the colours hes used.
Abigail gave Cosmic 5 out of 5.
Jasmine from Boston Spa School
I thought that Cosmic was a very good read.It had a good plot and story line unlike anything I've read before. It will take you from the ordinary school day of a boy(or not so ordinary!!) to the surface of the moon.It makes you feel for the character and shows how hard it can be to be tall. But it also shows that children can in certain circumstances grow up and rise to a greater challenge.See the world differently as you read this book but have great fun at the same time. You'll definitely remember it as it is strange but true in some ways.
Jasmine gave Cosmic 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The London Eye Mystery.
