Paul from Blackgates Primary School

I liked reading the book because it had a lot of gadgets and the main charcter was cool. My favourite charcter was Jake because he was fast at fighting and he always did everything that he was told to do. My favourite part of the book was the middle of the story because it had a lot of action and it was very interesting. If i could change the book i would make the book have less pages.

Paul gave Council of Evil 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Charlie from Blackgates Primary School

i thought it was good and exciting and it made me want to read on. The auther was called andy bridges. The author should be proud because lots of kids would love to read this book because they will think it is very interesting. My favourite character was Jake Hunter. I think this because he was very good at using his powers and always thinking. He made the story exciting.

Charlie gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

daniel from Sharp Lane Primary School

it's exiting at points but sumetimes boring

Sam from Benton Park

Villain.net is a good book for anyone who likes story’s about wars between good guys and bad guys with super powers. This is more than the little kids version because I don’t think the kids versions of good verses bad has nuclear warheads and people getting turned into stone and then to dust by mad super villains.

The main character is a boy called Jake Hunter who one day gets a mysterious e-mail from a mad super villain called Basilisk. Jake goes onto the mysterious web link called Villain.net were he downloads a superpower to trial and ends up setting fire to his school. After a week with basilisk though plenty of things have happened Jake becomes a global fugitive wanted for a number of crimes and it turns out that Jake is having some mysterious side affects to his powers…
Read the book to find out more.

Sam gave Council of Evil 4 out of 5.

Holly gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Molly from Talbot Primary School

When Jake Hunter, a terribly naughty schoolboy, clicks on a website called Villan.net his life changes forever. He is given amazing powers that allow him to do anything he wants. But being bad isn't all fun as he's about to find out. A gripping story with an unlikely main character.

Molly gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

christopher from Benton Park School

I think this a very good book as I voted for it in the national book award the genre is a action genre It all starts with a boy called jack hunter he click on the link on his computer at home which surprisingly says villan.net he is now a 13 year old boy wanted as a super powered fugitive wanted for theft kidnapping blackmail and pending the destruction of the earth not bad for a 13 year old is it. As it goes thought the story he discovers many secrets he also gets caught up with half the worlds heroes there is a book like this one hero.com which I will read soon and give you my feedback I would rate this 10/10

christopher gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Louise from Ninelands Primary School

I just couldn't get into Villain.net, I read the first chapter or so but I just couldn't get into it, in the end I stopped reading it and went to get another one. From what I read I thought that Villain.net doesn't really have any sort of pattern to it I just couldn't understand it.

Louise gave Council of Evil 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

niamh from Ninelands Primary School

I realy enjoyed this book because it was thrilling and exiting to read!!! My faveriot characters was Jake and Basalisk because they had evil nsuper powers and Chameleon wasn't very nice to Jake and I feel sorry for Jake because of the way Chameleon and Basalisk treated him and his parents. My fave part was when the volcano exploded and Jake has to stop a probe that is digging a tunnell to the core of the earth or the earth will be tipped off its axis!!!!!!!!!

niamh gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read A Nest of Vipers.

Emily from Ninelands Primary

this book was one of my favourites so far. The author, named Andy Briggs, expressed the main character, Jake, very well and showed his feelings thoroughly. I give VILLAN.NET 4/5 because although it is very thrilling and a joy to read, it isn't my favourite type of book (these are horror and mystery). Despite not being in my favourite category of books, I enjoyed reding it and would read it again if I had to.

Emily gave Council of Evil 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

elizabeth from Ninelands Primary School

i don't have much to say about this book because i did not like it the begining was good and the end did not end it just stoped.so out of 10 i would give it a 7/10 it was ok but if villain.net the second came out i would not get it.one reson i did not like it is because it did not slowly come to a end it completly stoped so that ts what let it down, because the book its self is very good, just the ending spoiled it.

elizabeth gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Emma from Ninelands Primary School

Halima gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The London Eye Mystery.

Aleena from Allerton High School

this book is alright but it kind of drags on with the storyline. I do think that the book is ok but I don't think it is my type.

Aleena gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5.

Laura from Boston Spa School

I absolutely loved Villain.net! I couldn't put it down, because it was always full of action! It got straight into the story, and I felt that even though it was a very surreal story, I found it very believable and I am really hoping to read any others in the series. I would probably recommend this book to someone who spends their thinking/dreaming time thinking about superpowers, rather than someone who would dream about people or nothing at all.

Laura gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5.

Rianne from Boston Spa School

I think that this book wasn't the best, but it was OK, compared to others. I liked the way it started straight away into action , but it didn't have much of an ending- it just stopped. I wasn't very impressed with it overall but it was a quick read and so it was OK.

Rianne gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5.

Remmy from Boston Spa High School

This book was a little hard to get into. The bit at the beginning,( the future bit)- was it supposed to be exiting? Normally the beginning of a book should be interesting! The rest of it kind of made up for it though. It took some, lets say, interesting turns. If there was a half mark on the rating thing, I would put 3 and 1/2. But I can't.

Remmy gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5.

Zahra from Alwoodley Primary School

I read villian.net and personally it was a big disappointment because it dragged practically all the way throughout the book. Also, I really thought the ending was rushed and I wanted to find out whether Jake's family ever remembered him. Moreover, did Jake ever escape from jail...

Zahra gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Jasmine from Boston Spa School

Although Villain.net had quite a basic storyline and characters it was a good book to read. The language used was very good for the content of the book. There were parts in the book where there was good solid action all around. This book I think is for anyone that is into super human things.Although it is only really aimed at this audience and not others.I agree with what previous people have said about the book and that is mainly for boys.A good read all in all though.

Jasmine gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.

gheorghe from Boston Spa School

This book was alright, but it was confusing and sometimes difficult to grasp the situation that took place at certain parts int he story, which also made it very hard to get into the swing of the story. It was poor, on average.

gheorghe gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Abid from Allerton High School

the book is a very good book and i think that it might have a chance of winning.

Abid gave Council of Evil 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Connor from Ninelands Primary School

Connor gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The London Eye Mystery.

Elizabeth gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Callum from Ninelands Primary School

Tyler from Ninelands Primary School

Helena gave Council of Evil 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Andrew from Ninelands Primary School

It was a brilliant book! I loved it well done Andy Briggs.

Andrew gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Isobel from Boston Spa School

I think it was more of a boys book! It involves lots of fighting and its mainly about supervillans. I think it fits very well into the 9-11's category and, if you are a boy and you love fantasy and fighting, then this is the book for you!

Isobel gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Robbie from Alwoodley Primary School

Villain.NET is a book about a boy, Jake Hunter, who clicks onto a mysterious web-link and chooses a temporary power(radio active power). At the beginning of the book I found it very interesting, but as I read on it got extremely boring. It reminded me of a movie that goes on and on and on and on and you think... This could have finished 1 hour ago or in this case 100 pages ago. Not a book I would recommend unless you are very patient and especially if you are nine years of age because i am 11 and the chapter reality strikes made me very confused. Not a good book in my opinion.

Robbie gave Council of Evil 1 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Daniel from Alwoodley Primary School

Brilliant! Fantastic! Ar some of the words which describe this book council of evil.I must say there is a lot of competition between this book and a diary of a whimpy kid!

Daniel gave Council of Evil 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.

Rachel from Alwoodley Primary School

I didn't really like this book because it rushed through it and wasn't very exciting. The book didn't tell you much about the characters so at points I didn't who was who and lost interest in the book. Overall I did not enjoy this book.

Rachel gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Charlotte from Boston Spa School

Villian.net was ok, but only ok. I didn't think that the book was at the same standard as the other books in this set, or in any other for that matter. However I did like the way it started straight in the action. I beleive that you will either love or hate this book, not in between. Sorry.

Charlotte gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Shadow Forest.

Darren from Boston Spa School

Villain.net, council of evil was a book I didn't enjoy. It is the sort the book I would like to read, the theme been very good. As I read the first 50 pages, I began to feel it was not up to the standrde of other books of similar content. The plot was relatively weak and didn't make sense in some places. I found the ending was naff but some parts of it were very good, the beginning was the best but was let down later on.

Darren gave Council of Evil 2 out of 5.

William from Sharp Lane Primary School

Villain.net is a very complacated book to understand but a really good book to read.

William gave Council of Evil 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Cosmic.

Luke from Sharp Lane Primary School
