This book is not the kind of book I would normally read, and I wouldnt reccomend it. I found it a it boring and nothing really exciting happened during the story.

BEN from CHRIST CHURCH UPPER ARMLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL
This book is totally original. I have read lots of other books but none like this one. Its about some kids [bad ones mostly] who have to pretend to be evacuees and they arent very good. In the end its a scam! It is a really good book.I made it 4 out of 5 because of the ending, its all happens at once and you kind of have to read it again but all the rest is really good. Its a must read, borrow from the library now!
BEN gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Eyeball Collector.

Lily from Beeston primary
I love this book it was cool! The idea of the book is great, I would defantly read this book agian. I like Solly the best because he is a sock puppet, Barney is cool just because he has Solly. My favorite part is when they name Mr Wallack Wally. I liked how Harriet was a actor trying to make the TV show more popular. I would love to meet Pete Johnon and ask him wre the idea came from. The only down I would say was the names of the chapter I think they give the book away so you know more about what is going to happen. Sometimes I couldn't put the book down sometimes. One of the best books I have ever read!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lily gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Eyeball Collector.

I really enjoyed this book and this is the book I would read all the time!!! My favorite character is Izzy because she is a devil but in the same way she would stick up for her friends and she was a bright girl with a warm heart and a determination for a drama act!!! Pete really grabs the reader and tempts you in to the book! I would recommend this book to people who want to be actresses or actors! And people who like a bit of drama in TV programs because I tell you this book has drama!
Lucy gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.

Alex from Austhorpe Primary School
An amazing book, the best I've read in years. Each chapter is told by 1 of 2 children, Izzy or Zac. It's interesting how different each person's view is. It makes you feel sad, happy, angry, annoyed and almost every other emotion. You get to love every character, all except one, Harriet. It's brilliant I would read it over and over again. Really fantastic.
Alex gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Wolven.
Samuel from ninelands primary school
this book confused me because it is told in different peoples opinions, and I ha to keep going.But... near the end there was lots going on and the story kept me guessing for the conclusion! It was an extreamley sad ending, mith the evacues and expecially zac , my favorite charachter.Overall, this book is brilliant and I would definately reccommend it to older readers.
Samuel gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5.

AMAZING! This book was Brilliant I couldn't put it down. The story instantly grabs your attention and the characters are so different. Pete really shows the emotions and thoughts of the characters. The style is interesting and I would definitely recommend it to EVERYONE! Well done Pete!

Jordan from Alwoodley Primary School
I found this book very interesting and imaginative. I really enjoyed reading this book I would read it again and again.
When I saw the front cover I thought it was going to boring but now I know you can't judge a book by it's cover. Now I really enjoy reading about WWII.
Jordan gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Wolven.
Megan from Alwoodley Primary School
I loved this book and I literally could not put it down! I even risked straining my eyes in the dark just to get to the end. The book kept mentioning 'expect the unexpected' and I did! I was surprised when Harriet was actually an actor who was ACTING to be annoying, and I certainly didn't expect Barney to go out first! I was devastated at the end when the team of 3 got booted out of the show early and I wanted to read more! I really liked the WHOLE book and that is why I rated it 5/5. Well done Pete Johnson!
P.S. Please please please PLEASE write a second book!
P.S.S. I'm definitely going to read more of your books.
Megan gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5.
Zain from alwoodley primary
i loved this book, it is really good because it tells all the character's points of view. and i tink it would apply to people about 8-13 year olds
Zain gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Eyeball Collector.
Zo-Po from Meanwood CofE Primary
I enjoyed this book quite alot but it didn't really have a very structured story line it had loads of things going on at once. A bit confusing! I liked the fact that Harriet wasn't actually twelve and she was a trick in the show.
Zo-Po gave The TV Time Travellers 3 out of 5 and now plans to read The Story of Matthew Buzzington.
Abigail from Pudsey Primrose hill
The book was ok but not very realistic my favourite character was Izzy and Leo but I did not like Zac because you woudnt get so upset that you stop in your tracks, also why would you want to live on a farm and never see your dad again.
Abigail gave The TV Time Travellers 3 out of 5 and now plans to read The Eyeball Collector.
Rachel from St.Mary's CofE Primary School
I think T.V. Time Travellers is very good although to enjoy it, you have to like a bit of adventure as well as just
history .
I also think it is extremely well written and because Pete Johnson experienced the war he had lots of evidence to back up and support his writing.
He also intrigued me by writing about how T.V. shows aren't as fun as they look because he got you thinking you knew the story and then he would add an unpredictable happening and get you even more excited than you already were !
His style of writing was very clever using it as diaries from two completely different points of view and people
winding each other up non-stop!His writing has a lot of description but not too much that it bores you.
My favourite character was probably Izzy because of her rage with Harriet even though I quite liked Harriet !
Personally I think this book deserves an award because of its outstanding author.
Rachel gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Mondays are Murder.
Giulietta from Ninelands primary
I liked this book because it reminded me of the second world war
Giulietta gave The TV Time Travellers 3 out of 5.
max from ninelands primary school
I thought this book was very interesting, and I learnt alot about world war 2, but i didnt think it had much of a climax
max gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.
Katy from St Mary's C of E Primary School,Boston Spa
I think that the book was amazing but was predictable at some times. My favourite character was Izzy because she said what she felt and stood up for what she believed in and i also liked Harriet because she was quite funny at times! I think the plot was brilliant and some moments in the book shocked me because I didn't expect it to happen. I think i enjoyed this book even more because i enjoy learning about history so i think Pete Johnson chose an excellent topic and title which grabbed my attention. It took me quite a while to get into the book although when i did, there was no stopping me! I was quite disappointed when i finished the book because i wanted to read more and more! Pete Johnson showed the children's emotions well and described everything very well! Overall i really enjoyed the book and certainly would recommend it to my friends! But i think most people who would read it, is people into history although they will be missing out on alot! I think Pete Johnson had an excellent idea which he turned into a brilliant story! Pete Johnson deserves to win the award due to this outstanding book!
Katy gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Mondays are Murder.
Joe from Alwoodley Primary School
This is an amazing book full of shocks and frightening parts I love this book so much (because I love learning about WWII) as the characters are really weird, strange, funny and good! I would give it to children from the age of 9+ as it is around that age of writing.
Pete Johnson is a really talented author and would inspire many young children to write.
Its all that that I love!
Joe gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.
James from Alwoodley
I thought this book was amazing.T first when i looked at the front cover i thought the book was a bit boring. But when i read it turned out to be a pretty good story.i liked the opening when it went straight into the story. My favourite part was when the main charachter is protestig in the shower with all clothes on.i found the authors life story very interesting, because he has been an author a teacher a journalist and so on overall a 4 stars brilliant book.I would recomend this book to 10-11 year olds and as i said a fantastic book
James gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.
Kiran from Alwoodley Primary School
I enjoyed reading this book as it was fun and exciting. When I first looked at it I thought it was going to be so boring. Now I know that you cant judge a book by its cover! I really liked how this story came from two different points of view. What I didn't like was that it could get confusing with two points of view but overall I would definitley rate this book four stars.
Kiran gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read The Eyeball Collector.
Danya from Alwoodley Primary School
I don't really like learning about WW2 but I really found this book amazing! So, it just shows NEVER EVER judge a book by it's cover!

niamh from Ninelands primary school
This book had a very clever story line and plot.
i liked how every thing turned out right for Zac and the other evacuees or does it?
it was very exiting and suprising when they messed with the kids emotions
and basicly showed that they were not very nice people.
but you should read this book as it is very intresting and will help you to know what other people are thinking in differnt situations and its vey intresting. So go ahead and give it a go you know you want to.
niamh gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.
Caitlin from primrose high
i thought tis book was very confusing. The ending was very predictable. This book would be suitable for kids who were iterested in war.
Caitlin gave The TV Time Travellers 2 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.
Amber from Cookridge Primary
It was a remarkable book!I loved the conclusion of the book, though I didn't understand the begging that much!Anyway I give the book 5 out of 5 because it had a great sense of humor and I loved imagining that I was Izzy!(I didn't like Zac!).It was a pleasure to read.NO WONDER PETE JOHNSON WON AN AWARD FOR HIS BOOKS!I guess this is the best book I've ever read!
Amber gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Mondays are Murder.

I think it was great. I especially liked the part when Zac and his Dad loved each other again. I think I will reccomend it to anyone. The bit I disliked was when the show was cancelled and no more of the show could be read. I was upset when I finished the book because I wanted to read more.

Hannah from Cookridge Primary School
I loved this book loads. The characters are brill. My faves Zac.
Hannah gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Wolven.
Sophie from Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School
this is a book all about a TV show all about going back to the victorian ages or so the evacuees think. The film showat is actually a chance to totally humiliate the evacuees as one of the evacuees tbhe 13 and turns out to be 17 pretending to be 13 and one is a world war 2 lover!
Sophie gave The TV Time Travellers 3 out of 5 and now plans to read Mondays are Murder.

Niamh from Rawdon Littemoor
I really enjoyed reading this book it was very interesting. I enjoyed all the secrets the show was keeping from the children on the farm. I never expected the bombing to hapen. This is definatly the best book I have ever read!!!!
Niamh gave The TV Time Travellers 5 out of 5 and now plans to read Bodyswap: The Boy who was 84.
Christopher from Pudsey Primrose Hill Primary School
The plot was easy to follow but I didn't think much to the setting descriptions because you only knew they were on a farm but you don't know what the farm was like. It's hard to believe that a TV show would fall to bits because all of the characters think this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get away from their old lives and be an evacuee for three weeks when the show literally blows up as if one of the German bombs landed on the farm.
Christopher gave The TV Time Travellers 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The Story of Matthew Buzzington.
Kimberley from ninelands primary
I really like this book because the ending doesn't turn out like I thought it would and it doesn't give anything away. The only thing is it is a little bit hard to understand because different people tell the story and it gets a tiny bit confusing.
Kimberley gave The TV Time Travellers 4 out of 5 and now plans to read Mondays are Murder.
Leah from ninelands primary school
I didn't this book was as good as it looks because there is some parts that are hard to understand and other are funny. Also it took me a while to get into the book i had to read about 2 chapters to get into it.I did like it though because it gives you more infomation about the world war 2 but not like a file-fact.So it was good in some parts but not in other parts.Sorry Pete!!!
Leah gave The TV Time Travellers 2 out of 5 and now plans to read The Eyeball Collector.
Bethany from Ninelands Primary School
