I enjoyed Broken Soup a lot because I thought it was really down to earth and realistic. It had a great and highly original plot packed with mystery with some witty and believable main characters. A completely unique and involving story, full of suspence and an excellent book that deserves to be read over and over again!

Broken Soup was a different book to most, it was amazingly written with awesome descriptions yet I felt it didn't hit the high standard of Finding Violet Park as I felt it lost the mysterious feel and although it was pretty emotional, some parts didn't make clear sense and as a result, I would not consider a winning book but still I enjoyed it.

I liked this book alot. I am a fan of Jenny Valentine and met her last year at the book awards 2008. All of her books are strange and unusual and have quirky titles. Her storylines are always exciting and sometimes moving. When Rowan finds out the secrets in the book, she makes friends loses friends and loses the will to live.I really enjoyed it and WOULD recomend it!!!!! :)

I loved this book, I couldn't put it down so I finished it in one day. Broken Soup makes you feels lots of different emotions and I felt like I got to know Rowan and what was going on in her head. This book shows what can heppen in an ordinary teenagers life and how they would cope with what is happening. This book shows that things aren't always as they seem and that you don't always know everything that is happening with your family.

Broken Soup was certainly one of the weirdest books I've ever read.A strange mystery that is just waiting to be solved by some amazing characters that really make the book what it is.With twists and turns it will leave you not knowing what to think until you find out the truth at the end of the story.A very good story, can't really say any more otherwise it will give the book away. But it is certainly worth a read as it is one of those books that will stay with you just for being a strange read.

1st of all we think the book is 20 out of 20, we love the way it builds up all the different clues to a pheonomanel ending! each page and chapter creating another thing to think about and work out! This book has a turn around every corner and is impossible to put down!! This book also pin points a very big and very upsetting point that lots of children have to go through every day! and suicide is deffinately something lots of people consider! but in different ways!We highly reccomend this book to avid readers and are sure you will enjoy it as much as we did!!

I thought this book was really good, it waas quite addictive aswell. as the plot unfolded it got more and more gripping. When i had finished this book, i couldn't stop thinking about the end chapter for days. This was the first book i had read by Jenny Valantine and it made me want to read another. It has so much detail and you can really feel 'Rowans' emotions at some points in this.

Broken soup is a fantastic book. jenny valentine writes with such skill that you feel really involved in this story. there is lots of emotion and you get to know and really connenct with Rowan. its such a simple story and so easy to follow but it is brilliant. you really dont expect the ending, which proves to be the best part of the book. Jenny Valentine missed out on the award last year with 'Finding Violet Park' but she really should win because she is a fantastic authour, to say this is her second book is remarkable. i cant wait to read her new book ' the ant colony'

I thought this was an interesting book, I understood it more than Finding Violet Park. The amountof description in the story was amazing, I think I would never read a book with that much description in it. I think there were too many swear words in the story. The odd 'Oh my God' was alright, but the S word and the F word made me a bit uncomfortable. I still think that this was a great book. If Jenny Valentine is writing any more, I would love to read them.

I rate this book 5/5 because it covers an emotional issue and has different levels of emotions to do this.Only a great author can do this and succeed in this process. The story follows a girl named Rowan Clarks who is handed a negative photo that will change her life. The book is great as it is moving and shows that you can move on even after someone close to you dies and that in time of need you know who your true friends are.
