Ineah from Lawton Middle School
It was one of the best books I\'ve ever read. I could definitely relate to Josh. The boy has to deal with so much. His father being murdered, his mother becoming ill, his sister, Camila, dying not too long after they met. It\'s very sad. But also a very good mystery on the historical Mayans and Aztecs.
Ineah gave Invisible City 5 out of 5 and now plans to read The Kiss of Death.

I thought this book was quite boring at the beginning and hard to get into it. It took me a while to get intrested in it. The first couple of chapters is set out like a diary and it was quite confusing when i started and it did not get better, but i kept on reading but unfortunatly i still did not like it. I gave this book a 3 out of 5.

This is my favourite book as a enjoy books with historical links and it has a wonderful sense of mystery. When Joshuas father is murdered in suspicious circumstances, Joshua teams up with his friends Tyler and Ollie to find out why his father was killed, and free the man being framed. His father was a Mayan archaeologist researching the rumours of a fifth codex. They travel to South America to find out more and find Joshuas half sister as well as an ancient underground city. The modern Mayans there give him a mission, find the codex.

Christopher from Benton Park School
A very good book in my eyes when Joshuas dad was reported dead in a Mexican air crash Joshuas life would be changed for ever was it just a simple accident or was there more behind the closed door. Joshua in the depths of the Mexican jungle and with a professional hit man on his tail will josh find out the truth about the plane crash which he attempts to stay alive. I think this is a really good adventure and mystery book there is a secret on every page and worth reading I would rate this book around 9/10

Alex from Benton Park
I got into the book very qucikly and easily but as I got further, it began to get harder to read. I eventually abandoned it as he got into the forest, but tried again later on. I did get to the end eventually and had not changed my mind. I still hated it all the same. I just found the whole thing dull and boring. The ending was also very rubbish. I would definetely not read any of the seuqels becasue I doubt I will enjoy those.

I thought ths book was quite good. It was a mixture of Alex Rider and The Power of 5 books (which I really really like), yet I felt this book didn't have the quality it needed. The idea of a secret mayan civilization is amazingly good but it didn't work out as I would have wanted, where would a civilization that was so un-advanced by the 10th century have all this amazing technology??? Some parts were a bit pathetic but overall, it was an good book that didn't reach you where it should.

Invisible city has a weird twist. It had really unexpected parts in it which left you thinking... The most unexpecting bit was that the boy Joshua turned out to be a relative to an underground group of ancient Mayans. It was also weird that the Mayans didn't let their technology out of their underground relic. It was also strange that Joshua happened to come across the area which the ancient book he was looking for was there. I liked this book but wouldnt read it again, thats why I rated it 3/5

I absolutely Loved The Joshua Files: Invisible City! I found it un-put-down-able. It has amazing ideas, but all of them could be real. While I was reading it, I kept on wanting to get to the end, to see what would happen, and when I got there, I just wanted it to carry on. I am planning to read the next book in the series, Ice Shock, as soon as possible.

This book was great and I really enjoyed the storyline and the constant action that was going on. The characters were described really well and as I was reading I was playing it along in my head. The reason that this book is only a 4 is because the ending could have been better!!

This book was quite easy to get into, but as you read, it got harder to carry on reading it, and I ended up abandoning it when he gets into the forest. Then when I tried reading it again I finished it, but I didn't particularly like it. The names were all confusing and the only name that I can remember right now is Josh. The ending was also rubbish.
